Academics
The Department of Computer and Information Science was founded in 1996 and accredited by the Ministry of Education in 1999. The goal of this department is to develop students literate in computer and information science. Cadets are trained in a wide range of computing techniques and taught related knowledge. Furthermore, they are capable of using the state-of-the-art command and control systems and associated weapons systems.
Courses offered in this department focus on the fundamentals of Computer Science and the practice of computer techniques. The core courses are deemed the information science program and focus on providing our students the skills of programming, systems analysis, modeling and simulation.
Our department has six computer labs. Each lab is equipped with modern instructional equipment, such as a broadcasting system, overhead projector, video projector and multimedia player. In addition, a networked laser printer in this department can be accessed via the network for document output. In the future, we will make efforts in refining courses, encouraging research, improving teaching quality and upgrading facilities.
